American Express Credit Card

Probably best known for their charge cards, American Express also have a range of credit cards on offer.

They currently have the Blue Card, Credit Card, Gold Credit Card, Platinum Credit Card, Gold Credit Card with Membership Rewards, the British Airways American Express Card and the new Nectar card. They also offer a business credit card

American Express Red Credit Card

The recently launched Red Card from American Express is beleived to have come about after rock star Bono approached American Express in 2005.

When you spend up to £5,000 in any year using your American Express RED card, American Express transfer 1% of that spend to Global Fund-financed programs in Africa which positively impact the lives of women and children affected by HIV/AIDS. American Express call this donation REDmoney

If you spend over £5,000 on your RED card, American Express increase this support to 1.25% for the amount above the threshold.

And to get things moving American Express will also give the Global Fund £5 of REDmoney when you use your Card in the first month.

The Nectar Credit Card from American Express
