present, Abbey (formerly known as Abbey National) is offering three
credit cards. Their balance transfer card, the "shopping card"
and the "cashback card"
Balance
Transfer card
This card allows you to make a balance transfer from another credit
card. The money you transfer from other cards to the Abbey credit
card is interest free for 9 months from the date the account is
opened. You pay a typical rate of 15.9% APR (variable) on card purchases.
Shopping
card
This credit card gives you an introductory rate of 0% p.a. on all
card purchases for six months from the date the account is opened.
If you wish to made a balance transfer from another credit card
the transferred money attracts interest at 7.9% p.a. Purchases have
a typical rate of 15.9% APR (variable).
Cashback
card
This credit card from Abbey gives you up to 1% cashback on your
purchases. The interest rate is typically 16.9% APR (variable) on
card purchases.
